Stage 3 - Depression
All that displaced anger can easily turn into depression. It’s normal to feel a sense of lose, disappointment, hopelessness and even failure. You realize that your life as you’ve known it has been shattered into a thousand pieces laid out like a puzzle with no picture of how to put it back together. Suddenly you’re forced to change and you have no clue as to how you are supposed to regroup, pick up the pieces and move on. These feelings can and do make us depressed.
No over the counter anti-depressant is going to bring you the true comfort you need. Saturate your mind with scripture. It is the “medicine”, the fix to get you through each day. The words “I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord, Be strong…” gave me the strength to make it through that day.
